Most health apps decide what matters. This one asks you.

If you find yourself writing extra notes in the margins of every medical form because the lines never fit your story, you're exactly who this is for. Build a journal out of the 70+ sections that fit your body, and leave out everything that doesn't. Track the symptoms, treatments, and triggers your own condition actually throws at you, then bring a clear record to your next appointment.

Many people find journaling is a good way to build routine. Boxless is another way in: check in daily, for a few minutes, and the habit builds a routine, a better understanding of your health, and a record that can help you get more answers.

How it works

  • You choose what's on the page

Turn on the sections that match your condition and switch off the rest. No scrolling past things that don't apply to you.

  • A day takes a minute

Tap a few chips, slide a scale, jot a note. Everything saves as you go, so there's no submit button to forget.

  • Your own symptoms and medicines

Add names nobody else would recognise. They stay on your list, ready to tap tomorrow.

  • Patterns you'd otherwise miss

See how sleep, weather, and flare days line up over weeks and months.

  • Ready for the appointment

Print a clean summary or download your whole history as a spreadsheet.

  • Private to you

Your journal is locked to your account. Nobody else can read it, and you can delete everything in one tap.

Built for health that doesn't fit in a box

Boxless is a health tracker for people with complicated and rare conditions, built for health that doesn't fit in a box.

Most health apps assume a tidy set of symptoms, one clear diagnosis, and a treatment plan that stays put. When your reality is changing symptoms, new treatments, and a body that keeps rewriting the rules, those apps leave out the parts that matter most.

Boxless lets you log what's actually happening, in your own terms. You can see your trends over time and bring a clear picture to every appointment, whether it's a new doctor, a longtime one, or a specialist. The more you can see, the easier it is to find answers and to advocate for yourself.

Boxless started with one person who couldn't keep track of it all.

Harper Spero, creator of Boxless

Harper Spero is the creator of Boxless. She lives in New York City with a very rare disease. With her symptoms and treatments constantly changing, she lost sight of what her baseline felt like, and none of the health apps she tried fit her situation. So she built one that did.

Harper is also a writer, podcaster, and certified coach. She hosted Made Visible, a podcast and platform for people living with invisible illness, and speaks at companies about it. She is also the founder of 2AM, a platform that helps people support loved ones through difficult moments. Her work is about helping people feel more seen, heard and supported through life's hardest moments.
